Have fun or cry, as you wish... Arms technology improves non stop in Ukraine.. Last year magic bullets could neutralize an Armata tank. Now, 12.7mm bullets have 8000 m range in sniper rifles.
I see the bullshit is piling higher every week with the M4-SCAM 47... Between "experts" with internet experience and having shot a few rounds on the range, "journalists" that quote some other experts with the exact opposite of what they said one year ago, scammers who will fill their pockets selling an inappropriated costly rifle to Ukraine, liars prentending having a licence for a plateform being public domain for two decades, company with a CEO who is a 20 something old student, UOP personel trying to look like they are doing their best for the country, when will all this circus stop? Once Russia has invaded totally Ukraine becvause there was no ammunition to feed the soldiers weapons in 5.45mm?
Bullshit and more bullshit trying to justify a scam.. The whole article is based on getting close to NATO Standards , so why a gun in 7.62x39mm Soviet Model of 1943. The 7.62x39 "M4" rifle will not be modular.
An AR15/M16/M4 type rifle in 5.45 mm would be modular, with a magazine well using STANAG magazines and switching to 5.56mm NATO would need only a new barrel.
The article is full of inaccuracies, fallacies and plain lies.
The fact that someone is about to get a licence and state funding to launch a production line of 7.62x39mm Model 1943 is sure prevalent in this decision to launch production of a rifle inadapted to this outdated 7.62mm ammunition when there is in storage a million of rifles and lightmachineguns chambered for a much better round of 5.45x39mm Model of 74..
There is a way to have a reliable military specification bolt and extractor in 7.62x39, using the bolt originally designed for the 7.62x51 NATO/ .308 Winchester of the AR 10 / SR 25
When the most knowledgeable ukrainian media related to firearms refuses to republish the crap 99% of the medias are buzzing without checking anything... I am feeling less lonely.

A strong nation in economy and defense terms is the only guarantor of Ukraine's survival as a democratic state and the return of its stolen territory.
Corruption, nepotism and lies are the obstacles.
Ukraine still does not manufacture small arms ammunition 3 years into the war with russian invaders and money is spent on unrealistic projects when it is urgent to spend a few million USD to launch a production line for 5.45mm M 74 in order to feed the one million AK 74 and RPK 74 Ukraine has. The last delivery dates back to USSR and will be quickly depleted if conflict escalates. Some other types like precision ammunition for the SVD sniper rifles are already depleted.
The defense sector is buzzing with magic weapons projects like the Stiletto bullet able to neutralise the latest russian tanks or projects to launch manufacturing of M4 design weapons in outdated 7.62mm soviet caliber, pretending falsely being benefiting of a transfer of technology when this design is in public domain for decades, more than 500 companies producing AR15/M16/M4 style weapons in USA, 50 companies in Europe, even United Arab Emirates manufacturing them as well.
The 5.56mm M 855 A1 cartridge is one of the best small caliber round ever produced and some people are going back to the 7.62mm round designed in 1943 because it will make some people rich buying this outdated ammunition on the commercial market.
a company without any experience in arms sector being selected as the arms maker in Ukraine without any international tender demonstrates the way decisions are taken in such a strategic sector.

The problem is not the production of a rifle but the production of ammunition (without having miillions evaporating)
The change from 5.45mm to 5.56mm NATO will be a new barrel, no more than that.
A M16 in 7.62x39mm will have to be discarded for a new rifle in 5.56mm
