Strike Industries Japanese Type 89 Style Compensator

Strike Industries posted a photo on their Facebook page of a new compensator/flash hider they will soon be manufacturing. The design is a clone of Japan’s HOWA Type-89 assault rifle comp/hider.

I don’t know for sure, but I think they will probably make both an AR-15 and an AK compatible version.

3D printed pistol

Reporters from an Israeli news program entered the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, twice with a 3D printed pistol based on DefCad’s Liberator design.

Another futuristic technology on display at SHOT Show was the Radetec AmmoControl Digital Counter and AmmoControl Led Advisor.

The AmmoControl is a grip that can keep track of how many rounds are left a magazine and how many rounds have been fired over the lifetime of the weapon.

Toy Gun March

Last week, Austin Petersen, creator of the Toy Gun March, received approval from a board of 30 federal officers to move forward with the “armed” march scheduled for July 3 in Washington, D.C.

The march will be at 9 a.m., starting at the Arlington Memorial Bridge and ending at the National Mall. Marshals will also be present to direct traffic and ensure safety.

14-year-old Hunter Lance of Marysville, Washington is accused of walking through the hallways of Marysville Middle School using his hand as a mock gun, pretending to shoot at students. His feigned firing incident took place May 31st, but is only now making headlines.
